The power that will cause a change in your situation is invoked and provoked when you begin to speak the word, every time the word of God is released, the power of God is released also. Hebrew 1:3 calls it “the word of his power”, there is no situation that the word of God cannot handle, be it spiritual, physical, marital, academically or financial it is the cure for every human predicament. The word of God heals, it delivers, it restores, it instructs, it directs, it motivates, it inspires, it impacts, it revives, it empowers and corrects, but you must learn to speak it, say what God is saying, learn to proclaim rather than complain.
You begin to claim, it when you begin to proclaim it
“The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, and caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord. So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army” (Ezekiel 37:1-10)
God took the prophet Ezekiel to a valley, a valley which the Bible said was full of not just dry dried bones, but very dry bones, and they were very many, the word “dried” means a conditions of hopelessness, and the word “bone” stand for lifelessness. Ezekiel saw a hopeless and a lifeless situation, humanly speaking this is a situation you will conclude that nothing can ever happen again, medically you will not make any prescription or even recommend a therapeutic section, even the intensive care unit of the best specialist hospital will not admit them, yet God ask the prophet to speak and Prophesy upon the bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord, Ezekiel said “So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone..”.
Whenever you speak the word, it comes to fulfill the purpose to which it was released. “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:10-11)
I don’t know how grievous that situation is, or the kind of torment you are facing at the moment, instead of sitting down murmuring, complaining and wishing you just die, stand up and begin to speak the word of God to that situation, the word is your cure! it is your remedy. “And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, and saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. (Matthew 8:5-8,)
Here is a situation that Bible said the servant of the centurion “lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented”, yet his request was that Jesus should just speak the word only. Jesus did not have to come and see the sick man. He did not have to lay hands on him, and maybe pour anointing oil on him, or puts them on fasting and prayer for 3 days. He simply had to speak the word, the centurion believed that the word Jesus will speak, has the power to heal his servant who was “grievously tormented”.
